About the Firm
Karen Hines, Ltd. was established by Karen M. Hines, a
licensed CPA since 1987. Karen has over twenty years of tax and accounting experience in Big Four and local CPA firms, startup
ventures, and Fortune 500 companies. She has been involved in all aspects of corporate taxation from the beginning of her
career in Silicon Valley to her transfer to Minnesota in 1999 to become a tax manager with a Fortune 100 company. Karen holds
a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; a Master of Science in Taxation
from California State University, East Bay; and a Master in Business Administration from University of Minnesota. She is a
member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Minnesota CPA Society, and the Minnesota High Tech Association. She also serves
on the Carlson Executive MBA Alumni Council.
